Telegram sent to Leo Steger in Melbourne by his mother in Germany, dated 2 January, 1946. The letterhead is "Comite International DE LA CROIX-ROUGE. GENEVA (SUISSE)", and the proforma details are printed in red in German and English. The translation of the message is; "Dear Poldi, am well, I have sufficient to eat. If you have a good job please stay where you are. Here it is unbearable. Hugs from mother". It is stamped with a military censorship stamp and it has a Red Cross logo in the top left corner.
