Biographical information about Duperrey, hydrographer on "La Coquille" with L. de Freycinet; Berard, hydrographer under Duperrey and Anne Chretien Louis de Hell, concerning charting of Corsica. Extract from "Athenaeum", 1838, re. Polar expedition of D'Urville. Beautemps-Beaupre - document re. charting of Santa Cruz by Carteret, and by D'Entrecasteaux.
