Abridged narrative of a Voyage of discovery to Australia performed in 'H.M.S. Investigator' 1801. Inscribed 'To Rev. William Tyler with respectful and affectionate regards of the son-in-law, the Author'. This series continues on Reel 3 with the following documents: Copy in French of the Abridged narrative, and account of Flinders' imprisonment on the Isle de France, written in French by Flinders himself, in the sixth year of his captivity; Rough voyage continued, 'At the head of the Gulph (sic) of Carpentaria. Sweer's Island to out of Blue Mud Bay. 'List of Officers & Louieys' embarked on board the Harriet cartel at the Isle of France, 13 June 1810 to go to India' in front of volume); Rough copy of the Voyage Book II, Chapter VI continued, page 70-107; 'Observations on the coasts of Van Diemen's Land, on Bass's Strait and its Islands and on parts of the coasts of New South Wales' by Matthew Flinders (1801).
