1877 diary has as dark green fabric cover embossed with a line and floral border. The embossing in the centre of the front cover has text "Australian Commercial Diary 1877". The back cover has the same border as the front cover. Inside of the cover a marbled effect has been used. Entries have been written in French. Diary was aquired by donor's mother (Florence Oke), who was a Sebire. The author of the diary is unkown but mentions the Sebires. Florence Oke believes that the diarist was a worker of either the de Pury or de Castella vineyards.
