Abstract |
This is a circular letter from the Polish National Alliance in Australia addressed to the Penny family from the secretary Z. Nebenzahl. It is dated 4th May 1945. The secretary’s office resides on 121 Pitt Street in Sydney, a central area in the city. The document is untranslated. It does however reveal that there was a significant Polish community in Sydney, that they were organised and that the Penny family although becoming naturalised Australians did keep in touch with their cultural roots.
