Also includes correspondence of internees, reports translated from the German, notebooks and maps. Also includes, bound together 1. Chronik der deutschen Internierungslagers in Australien dated No. 1 (5 Okt. 1941)-no. 2/24 (21 Juni 1942), composed and printed by the Internees in No.1 Internment Camp, Tatura ; 2. Liederbuch, Internierungslager, Tatura, Australien, 1940. "This clandestine magazine [Brennessel] was printed secretly by the German internees at the Tatura Internment Camp over a period of 9 months. It is highly satirical and surprisingly well-informed, each issue including up-to-date information about the progress of the war in Africa and Asia." cf.
