Abstract |
Castelorizians together with Kytherians were some of the very first Greek groups that immigrated to Australia. These two founded the Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) church in Surry Hills. An ecclesiastical division in 1924 was the moving force to break them in two different groups; the Castelorizians and the Kytherians. Then the Castelorizian association was founded in 1924, and in 1927 they built the Hagia Sofia Cathedral in Paddington. They were the ones that built the first Greek home for the aged. Approximately (c.) in 1970 they founded the Castelorizian club in Kingsford.
