Abstract	Αthanasios Diakos association was founded c in 1973 and it was part of a group of Greek associations and brotherhoods which founded the Greek Community Council (1977 - 1988). The Greek Community Council (1977 - 1988) managed to include the Greek language in 17 government primary schools across Sydney, also participated in the establishment of the Greek festival of Sydney, and in the Dionisios Solomos awards, Athanasios Diakos was actively functioning between c 1973 - 2003.
