Synopsis of Content: This booklet is a record of a meeting held in Tōkyō on 2 July 1942 by the Greater East Asian Dairy Study Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to consider how Australia and New Zealand should contribute to the Greater East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere. It consists of several speeches outlining various aspects of the industry, climate, manufacturing processes, etc. It then records the enduing discussion concerning concrete plans and methods to incorporate the industry in Australia and New Zealand by political and economic means. The discussion at one point turns to whether Australian farmers would remove their stock if invaded, and conduct guerrilla type activities against the Japanese. |
