| Description from source |
Eleven commercial postcards sent to the Reverend Father Agostino Gonella at the Catholic Presbytery in Canberra. The postcards are all written in Italian and are all of Italian scenes. There was a group of Italian priests possibly associated with the Papal Nunciature who celebrated Mass in Italian at St Christophers' Cathedral in this period and acted as chaplains to the Italian community in Canberra. The Presbytery was next to St Christophers' Cathedral, Manuka. |
