| Description from source |
Dutch aviation game based on the great MacRobertson International Air Race of 1934. The race from Mildenhall in England to Essendon airport, was sponsored by confectionary magnate Sir MacPherson Robertson as part of the Melbourne Centenary celebrations. The winners, British aviators C.W.A. Scott and T. Campbell-Black, flying a purpose-built Comet, made the flight from England to Melbourne in two days. This game published as a promotion for Dutch company Verkade, is based on the heroic efforts of the Dutch team, flying a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines DC-2, who came second in the race overall but won the handicap prize. |
